Thanks Rich! I thought of you in connection with #FridayFlash, knowing you've done NaNoWriMo, and trusted you'd see it either via Talking Story or my tweets. Jump in with me next Friday for week 15!

Thanks for the heads up on the missing "Home" button. That's a blind spot I didn't know I had. As a wordpress user I know the blog title is the "Home" button, but unless everybody uses wordpress they're probably not going to know that. I fixed it so I've got home buttons now... all I need to do is get them to the front of the list they're in and I'll be happier with them... then I'll choose which to keep. It depends on which is easier to move to the front of the line I'm sure.

Speaking of exploring other genres... Nicely done on the friday flash. It may be that this style of writing is beyond your comfort zone, but it's not outside your skill set. Nicely done. I'll be joining in the Friday Flash in the future. It looks like a lot of fun, and a good way to talk story in a different voice to keep the energy up and the content interesting.

Aloha Rich, happy Saturday,
I am thrilled to hear that you are recommitting to your blog.

I came across that concept of blog as mothership as well, and it tugged at me too, though more as an affirmation, for I figured out a few months back that I had been neglecting Talking Story too much, not fully understanding what a constantly-simmering pot of idea-cookery it had been for me, and thus could still be.

You are an exceptional manager (and thus our mutual admiration for each other began) and you are well aware of my mantra that “managers matter BIGtime” but your capacity as a human being is so much bigger; it’s the fertile ground from which so much can seed, sprout, and grow. We have yet to discover the full abundance of any single person, and seems your love of books, reading, and writing are very much a part of yours. So to me, your blog is the perfect place to have it all if it’s to be a blog about you and not a niche subject – your new design with the categories prominent as primary navigation makes a lot of sense to me! How about adding a “home” link for when we visit you directly (versus RSS reading) so we need not then backspace the url?

I for one am enjoying your book reviews: You tempt me with exploring genres that I normally would not venture into.
