My name’s Rich Griffith. I’ve been known on the internet for years as either Rich G. or simplerich. They’re all me although not all of them are me. If that makes as much sense to you as it does to me we’ll get along fine.

I’m a retail manager and a computer gamer. I like to read and hike. I don’t like to mountain climb and if the sun is out I’d rather be out in it than inside. I run. I like to run. I wish Iowa’s running season were longer. Did  I mention I live in Iowa? Central Iowa to be more precise, and Fort Dodge, Iowa if you want more than that. Fascinating facts: Fort Dodge is mentioned in Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged AND in Amanda Palmer’s Tragic Events: Part II. I’ve been at the same job for around fifteen years. I either like it a lot or am really prone to inertia. Depending on the day it could go either way as to the answer I give. Mostly I like it. The things I don’t like I try and delegate to other people or back burner until they wander off and don’t need doing any more. That’s not the most effective way of going about things and sometimes it bites me in my butt. I’m getting better at not doing it.

I’ve got a blog that’s way more personal than this one over at blogspot… there are readers on this blog who will insist I’ve quit contributing anything to the management blogosphere… and they may be right for now. But it’s still what I do, and I still talk about it from time to time and when I do I do that here. Over on blogspot it’s a personal blog and I don’t know if anybody reads it or not, but I think it’s often well written and fun to read and I recommend you give it a go. It won’t take up much of your time really.
