Diablo Fanfiction

Diablo is one of my favorite games of all time. It’s in the top 2. I was so into it that I wrote stories about it that took place in the world.

A part of the greatness of the game was the community that grew up around the game. It was, for me, the first gaming community I’d ever encountered online and all those internet people with interests in computers, games, and well… all sorts of the same stuff I was made the time around Diablo and the game of Diablo very special for me.

These fanfictions are but a small sample of all that I wrote and there are reams and reams of fan-fiction about the game Diablo.

An Ear:

As he passed through the blue energy his skin tingled briefly before he tumbled into a grassy clearing with houses just ahead. He could hear a stream off to his left and the sound and smells of some animals behind him. He took all this in during the time it took him to roll to a crouch and look for the man he was after, the evil Rich G. The blue doorway he had jumped through winked out behind him and he heard what sounded like the thieving dog laughing on the other side of it. He didn’t smell the oiled armor at all and no tracks let from the spot he was at now.

Archangel:

It was never meant to go this far. They had promised they would come for him. He kept thinking they would come. He wanted to believe them. There would be no harm in wandering around until they got here though he had thought. So he had wandered and now he was totally and unmistakably lost. Lost in what looked like an alley from an episode of NYPD blue. There was more garbage on the street than cars and some of the garbage looked like it may have once been human. He couldn’t imagine what set of events would have to transpire to relegate a person to a life like this… if it could be called a life. There was a man in a rat chewed trench coat leaning over a garbage can that looked like it had already been picked through pretty thoroughly by the animals…

Was it Worth it?

Hadriel listened to the woman scream for what he believed to be the third time in as many minutes. This one seemed stronger though, more immediate. He returned his attention to the scene before him and looked down at the sweating face of Jamella and her nervous husband, Halbu. It was hard to believe they did it at all with all the screaming they did. And she had nine months to get ready for this. It could hardly be considered a surprise and there she lay, screaming her head off. Hadriel clicked his teeth in disgust. And these two were to bear a son that was going to help defeat Diablo. Quickly Hadriel whispered a prayer that Tyrael hadn’t taken leave of his senses. Just as he finished Adria’s head popped up from between the bellowing Jamella’s legs, “I’ve got the head. One more push and the shoulders will be out and ye’ll be done. The next time ya feel it a-comin’ push as hard as ye can.”
